Harriet Loder

Harriet Loder has a strong equine background especially within the thoroughbred industry itself coming from the Loder family that bred the famous Fillies Triple Crown winner Pretty Polly, and still to this day having relations largely successful within many aspects in the industry.

She started with a grounding in sporthorses riding in showjumping competitively at international level. Under the influence of her uncle Sir Edmund Loder - breeder of the great European champions Marwell and Marling - she decided to move further more into the thoroughbred fields and was working during the sales preparation times at her uncle's stud Eyrefield Lodge in Ireland. At the sales she was working for several consigners preparing and presenting horses.

To gain further practical knowledge inside the thoroughbred industry she joined Richard Frisby Bloostock Limited at Newmarket, the centre of the British Thoroughbred racing and breeding industry and situated adjacent to the famous Tattersalls sales paddocks. For almost two years she assisted the former director of the BBA (UK) at sales from researching to sourcing potential purchases.

Beginning of 2010 Harriet successfully graduated from the Irish National Stud Thoroughbred breeding course where she studied a variety of divisions from handling the stallions in the covering shed, foaling to management of forthcoming yearlings. Since August she is enhancing her equine business experience at BBA Germany and keeps in close contact with many clients and trainers worldwide.
